About The Art Club

Mission Statement: We pledge to guide our members to expand their knowledge on existing art, encourage members to display their own craft, and help members learn to teach and guide others, while moving on a course to proudly exhibit the art of our organization as a whole.

Number One: We want to educate you.

The history of art may seem pointless to many, but when taught in an artistic manner, can be interesting and useful. We'll teach you about Picasso, Dali, Cezanne, Caravaggio and more, by showing you their art, not by stuffing you with names and dates.

Number Two: We want you to show your stuff.

This art club isn't for us: It's for you. Not only do we want you to be artists, but we want to you present like an artist. So many people are wonderful at creating art, yet will no share their talent. No- you should show it off! You have a talent, now let others acknowledge that talent.

Number Three: Let's teach everyone what you can do.

Not everyone is gifted, talented, or dedicated. Those people deserve to learn and display their art as well. Those of us who can draw, paint, sing, or mold will be asked to help others do the same, and flourish under their own insipiration.

Last, But Not Least: Let's do something Great.

We are working towards one large project: An Art Gala. We want to cover the school with paintings and sculptures, and then bring in everyone we can to show it all off. This is an end-of-the-year project however, and will remain a long-term goal until January.
